Clarion Congress Hotel is located in the town’s business and relaxation district. It is ca. 15 minutes walking from the city centre, and within 10 minutes driving from the bus/train station. It is also easily reached by public transport (a bus stop is located near the hotel).
LANGUAGE
English is the official language of the 13th ICC.

Official letters of invitation designed to support requests to travel and visa applications will be sent on request. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee or 13th ICC to provide any financial assistance. VISA REQUIREMENTS
Visa regulations depend on your nationality and country of origin. We recommend you contact your local Czech Consulate for official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedures that may apply to you. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

It is also possible to fly to Linz (LNZ, Austria) and to take the direct train from Linz Central Station (Linz Hbf) to České Budějovice which takes ca. 2 hours.
CITY TRANSPORTATION / TAXI IN ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE
There is a good public transport system in České Budějovice. Most buses operate until 1-2am. Tickets can be purchased at the bus stops (ticket machine), or directly in the bus (via credit card). Price is 20 CZK per 60 minutes. Bus lines 2, 5, 9, and 11 (leaving from the bus stops called Mariánské náměstí or Družba-IGY) connect the Clarion Congress Hotel with the City centre, and with the central bus/train station. Taxis are usually available outside the Hotel.
CURRENCY
The Czech currency is the Czech Crown (CZK). Credit cards (Visa, Eurocard, MasterCard, Maestro) are accepted in most shops, and ATMs are widely available in downtown České Budějovice.
TIME ZONE
The time zone in the Czech Republic is Central European Time (CET) (UTC plus 1 hour).
TELEPHONE CODE
To call a foreign country from the Czech Republic, please dial the international code 00, then the country area code, the city area code (without 0) and, finally, the telephone number of the subscriber. For incoming calls, the international code of the Czech Republic is +420.
ELECTRICITY
As in most cities in continental Europe, the electricity voltage in the Czech Republic is 220 V. Electrical outlets are standard European.
INSURANCE AND LIABILITY
13th ICC Organizers cannot accept responsibility for personal injury or for loss or damage involving persons and property either during or indirectly arising from the meeting. Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance.

REGISTRATION
The Registration Desk will be located in Foyer 2 of the hotel. All registered participants will receive congress material and a badge upon registration. Every registered participant will receive vouchers for the welcome reception and social evening. There will be no admittance to the scientific sessions and/or to the welcome reception and social evening without the badge. Accompanying persons are welcome to ask for information about social activities at the Registration Desk.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
A certificate of attendance will be provided to all registered participants at the Registration Desk.
LECTURES, POSTERS
All lecture halls are located in Foyer 2 of the hotel, in front of the Registration Desk. The congress halls are called: Svět, Rožmberk, Bezdrev, Hejtman, Vajgar (named after our famous South-Bohemian ponds).
Posters will be located in Veduta hall.
The size of our poster boards is 180x110 cm, therefore we recommend a poster size that fits the board (i.e., size A0 or any atypical size).
Posters can only be fixed on poster boards. Fixing material will be provided.
No liability will be assumed for non-removed posters.
COFFEE BREAKS, FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS
Coffee breaks will be provided in Foyer 2 in front of the lecture halls and will be served according to the official 13th ICC programme.
Participants also have the opportunity to buy a breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Clarion Congress Hotel Restaurant, or to buy refreshments at the conference venue.
WiFi
Free WiFi is provided in all working areas of the meeting.
PARKING
Parking is available in front of the Clarion Congress Hotel. The price is 250 CZK/car/night. There is also paid parking (parking meter; 10 CZK per hour) in the streets near the hotel.
