From Prague International Airport (PRG)

Take public bus no. 119 towards Nadrazi Veleslavin, which is the final stop. The bus leaves every 10 min from both airport terminals. On arrival at Nadrazi Veleslavin take the subway to either central bus station Florenc (subway C, red line), central bus station Na Knizeci (subway B, yellow line), or central train station Hlavni nadrazi (subway C, red line). Details of onwards bus or train travel are shown below.

A transfer ticket for bus transportation in Prague costs 40,-CZK and is valid for 90 min, which is more than sufficient. Tickets can be bought in the bus, at the stand/booth, or via smartphone.

 

Buses to Ceske Budejovice – approx. 2 hours

Two bus companies operate between Prague and Ceske Budejovice:

Flixbus: leaves from the Florenc bus station

- Regiojet: leaves from Na Knizeci bus station

 

Train to Ceske Budejovice – approx. 2 hours

The fast train leaves from Hlavni nadrazi (Central Railway Station)

You are obliged to make an online reservation for all buses. Reservations are recommended (but not essential) for the train, although seat is not guaranteed without a reservation.

Taxi to Ceske Budejovice – takes approx. 2 hours

Please make sure you use a reliable and official taxi company.

It is good to negotiate the price in advance since, unfortunately, some taxi drivers may try to take increase prices for foreigners.

This company operates between CZ regional cities including Prague - Ceske Budejovice, and there is a fixed one-way price for 2,700,-CZK (approx. 110,-EUR).

It is also possible to try the smartphone application Bolt. This taxi should take you to Ceske Budejovice for approx. 1,700,-CZK (68,-EUR) – Economy Class, or approx. 2,000,-CZK (80,-EUR) – Bolt Class, or approx. 3,000,-CZK (120,-EUR) – Comfort Class. However, this service is run only via the smartphone application.
